About Me

Why Amanda Joy?

Amanda Joy has the gift of healing just through her very presence. Sitting in space she has created and being held with non-judgment has a profound effect of feeling a healing calm throughout your body. Her mission in life is to spread healing and peace, helping to relieve stress and teach techniques for others to reduce stress on their own.

Amanda Joy graduated from Everest College in September 2015 in Massage Therapy. She also has a Bachelor of Science in General Biological Studies from Washington State University (2013) and an Associate in Arts from Clark College (2010). Amanda strives for excellence in her modalities by taking continuing education courses to always be up to date on new techniques to incorporate into her sessions.

My Story

I originally set out to be a genetic counselor, and received my Bachelor's in Science in Biology. However after a few years of sitting behind a desk and realizing graduate school was extremely competitive and expensive, I decide to pursue my massage therapy license instead. I made the transition from traditional desk job to massage therapist in 2015. I love being a massage therapist and providing that space-holding and 1-on-1 interaction. Being an introvert, I was much happier being on the giving end of stress-relief instead of being the cause as I sometimes felt as a receptionist and reducing my overall interactions so I could genuinely connect with people.

Over the years I have worked at many different massage establishments, went back to working at a desk part-time at an alternative wellness company in Florida while running my own mobile massage practice, and eventually made my way to Arizona right before Covid hit. I had barely settled down in Phoenix before I was out of work. After the stress of recovering from the shutdown, I decided to take a big break from massage altogether and went against my instincts to be a call-center representative for 1.5 years. Finally in late 2022 I had enough, and went back to massage with fresh passion and thankful most of the craziness was over.

I have just moved to Casa Grande, and realized how much massage therapists are needed here! I am so thankful to join Nicole and Jahaira as they welcomed me with open arms to their place, and I'm looking forward to serving everyone as best I can.

With love and light,

Amanda Joy
